Culinary Arts Food Exhibition - Parang of Flavours

The Culinary Arts programme at St. Dominic’s Children’s Home Trade School has been transforming young lives for two years, beginning in October 2023, through the generous support of Term Finance Limited. Our Youth Agriculture programme, sponsored by ANSA McAL Foundation, started in January 2021, with its first certified graduates in 2022 through the National Examination Council (NEC). The two programmes work hand-in-hand through a shared, farm-to-table vision, nurturing practical skills in crop and poultry production alongside culinary arts.

On Sunday 30 November 2025, the Trade School proudly launched its first-ever Culinary Arts Food Exhibition -  Parang of Flavours at the Shalom Centre — uniting the Culinary Arts and Agriculture Programmes on the exhibition stage for the very first time.  The event was hosted by the SDTS Committee, and the CEO of Term Finance Limited was present and representatives from Ansa McAL together with staff of SDCH.  The students led by their tutor and professional chef Alex Chryskarsten created a blend of dishes to entice appetites with a fusion of flavours enlightening the Christmas spirit and good cheer.

This milestone event celebrates culture, creativity, and collaboration, and marks the commencement of a tradition we hope to continue annually, with plans for 2026 to include Life Skills, displaying entrepreneurship skills where students can market their own creations — from produce and seasoning blends to poultry and inspired culinary products.
